GadgetGauge: iPhone Deal Check is a mobile-first decision assistant for a U.S. consumer evaluating a specific private-party used-iPhone listing. Every result is educational decision support — it is not an appraisal, an offer, a warranty, legal advice, or a safety guarantee. GadgetGauge never implies that the phone, seller, ownership, listing, screenshots, parts, or transaction have been verified.

A positive verdict describes price context only. It remains conditional and does not mean the transaction is safe — complete every in-person check before you pay.

GadgetGauge is not: a generic gadget price checker, a seller appraisal tool, a repair-or-replace tool, a repair-shop operating system, a marketplace, an escrow service, a transaction platform, a device-authentication service, an ownership-verification service, a theft-status service, a diagnostic tool, or a guarantee that any transaction is safe.

• It cannot authenticate a phone.
• It cannot verify ownership.
• It cannot verify stolen status.
• It cannot confirm that a screenshot is current.
• It cannot confirm that a screenshot belongs to the listed phone.
• It cannot guarantee part authenticity.
• It cannot diagnose hidden or internal damage.
• It cannot validate the seller.
• It cannot guarantee meeting safety.
• It cannot guarantee the purchase will be successful.

Completing the meeting checklist does not make a purchase safe. A low price does not make a transaction safe. Seller cooperation does not prove ownership or legitimacy.

Price evidence is currently curated demonstration data — a fixed, reviewable, versioned set of illustrative U.S. private-party observations, not a live market feed. It never produces confidence above medium, and every result labels it plainly.

You are responsible for your own decision to buy, negotiate, gather more evidence, or walk away. Meet in a safe, public place; never send money before you inspect the phone; and confirm the seller can erase and set the phone up as new before final payment.
